Carindale
Carindale is a small suburb of Brisbane, which has a population of approximately 15,135 people and has around 4,976 properties. The greater area used to be known as Belmont.
Notable features of the Carindale, include a shopping mall – Westfield Carindale, Belmont State School, the Pacific Golf Club, Belmont Private Hospital (psychiatric only), Belmont Bushland Reserve, and Bulimba Creek. The Gateway Motorway borders Carindale.
As well as Indooroopilly in the west; Chermside at the north; and Mount Gravatt on the south, the suburb has been described as a mini-CBD.
Adjacent suburbs include Carina, Belmont, Mansfield, Carina Heights, Tingalpa, Cannon Hill, Mount Gravatt East and Mackenzie. Transport runs frequently to and from Carindale and Brisbane via Creek Road and Old Cleveland Road, leading to the multi-million dollar busway.
The people of Carindale are represented by Kerry Rea MP (Labor) in the seat of Bonner. On a state level, the seat of Chatsworth is held by Steve Kilburn (Labor)[3]. Adrian Schrinner (Liberal) is Brisbane City Councillor for Chandler Ward.
